Alliance between Suunto and National Geographic Maps creates Suunto X9i
The Suunto X9i utilizes the world's smallest GPS wristop computer with the industry's leading topographic software. The X9i happens to be no bigger than a silver dollar and lighter and more convenient to carry and use than conventional GPS devices. Plug it in to your home pc and plan, download and analyze trips. The Suunto X9i will be available for industry preview August 11-14 at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, booth 1927.(retails for $499). Some features include black or tan colors, an altimeter, barometer, 3D compass, chronograph and comprehensive GPS unit accurate to three feet. Did I mention it's compatible with National Geographic TOPO! A cool travel gadget, but nothing to stake your life on.
