Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Thailand
Over the next weekend Four seasons will open its first "Tented Camp" located in the jungle of northern Thailand about 50 miles northeast of Chiang Rai. The Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, Thailand, close to the border of Burma, is a 20-minute long-tail boat ride up the Ruak River. This 200-acre property has 15 tent guestrooms scattered along a half-mile trail. Each 581-square-foot tent contains either a king-size bed or two twins, a large copper tub and replicas of 19th century furniture. Though you will feel like your living in the 1800s, you can still use the internet with high-speed access. Designed for active adults, these all-inclusive two or three-night adventures, costing anywhere from $1000-$1600, cover everything from elephant mahout training to Mekong River excursions; from formal campfire dinners to riverside drinks in a stilt-top bar.
